What is Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch?

Camphor, capsicum, and menthol topical (for the skin) is a combination product used in adults and children at least 12 years old for temporary relief of pain.

Warnings

You should not use camphor, capsicum, and menthol topical if you are allergic to it.

If you breastfeed, avoid applying this medicine to your nipple area.

How should I use Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch

Use Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch (Topical) exactly as directed on the label, or as prescribed by your doctor. Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.

Wash your hands before and after applying this medicine.

Do not take by mouth. Topical medicine is for use only on the skin. Do not apply to open wounds or on sunburned, windburned, dry, or irritated skin.

Clean and dry affected area. Apply camphor, capsicum, and menthol topical to pain area not more than 3 times a day.

Do not bandage treated skin or expose it to heat. Your skin may absorb the medicine, which could cause harmful effects.

Do not apply this medicine within 1 hour before or 30 minutes after you take a bath or shower.

Store at room temperature away from moisture, heat, and light.

What should I do if I missed a dose of Tiger Balm Pain Relieving Patch (Topical)?

Camphor, capsicum, and menthol topical is used when needed. If you are on a dosing schedule, skip any missed dose. Do not use two doses at one time.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives, difficult breathing, swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Stop using this medicine and call your doctor at once if:

  • severe skin irritation develops;
  • condition worsens;
  • pain lasts more than 7 days; or
  • pain goes away and then comes back within a few days.

Less serious side effects may be more likely, or you may have none at all.
